Why an independent, and why here

European vehicles are not harder to look after than anything else — they are just less forgiving of being guessed at. They need the right oil, the right diagnostic access and somebody who has seen the fault before. That is what a specialist independent is for, and it is why people bring cars to us from Carterton and further.

The workshop runs Liqui Moly, a German lubricant brand made for exactly these engines, and we would rather spend the time finding the actual fault than replace parts on a guess.

Classic and modern

From an early Golf to a late-model Range Rover, the work is the same discipline: find out what is actually wrong, tell the owner what it costs, then do it properly.

Vehicle tuning and remapping

We have professional ECU tuning equipment in the workshop and we can talk you through what is and is not possible for your vehicle.

In New Zealand, changes to engine management can require Low Volume Vehicle (LVV) certification depending on the vehicle — ring us and we will tell you where yours sits before anything is done. It is also your responsibility to tell your insurance company about any modification to your vehicle.
